Roasting Ryan

We are very lucky to have, as a founding member of our little troupe, the wild web talents of one Ryan Gantz. The world knows him by his overtly descriptive handle, Sixfoot6. He's been big on the web for nearly one quarter of the time he's been big in real life. He's mingled with some of the finest minds the blogosphere can offer, frequently doing so at the mecca of indie web nerdom: SxSW.

In fact he was there just last week; maybe you saw him playing with Legos. And what sort of to-the-minute, here's-the-next-big-link contribution did Ryan make to MMP.com during that time? A "Laugh Link" to Chewbacca's blog. I'll look past the fact that in his haste Ryan misspelled 'Chewbaka' (although it's VERY hard for me to do so), but the fact is I posted the same link in January. For shame Ryan, for shame. You're supposed to be finding us the next mySpace in Austin, and all you come back with is novelty Blogspots.

But in fairness we owe Ryan a great deal regarding this website that he did design and maintains. And we love him for it even from all the way across the country. Y'see, Ryan is tying the ol' knot this summer, and as such we felt it time to give him a bit of roast. Okay, well, I did anyway.

Ryan is having a bachelor party in Las Vegas. Of ALL my friends, past and present, who would feel cheated by the great American Dream by NOT being at a strip club the night before they got married for all time, Ryan is not one of them. Let's be honest, Ryan's perfect bachelor party is more like playing three hours of Asshole, going to the Cafe 101 (or Bickford's) for a late supper, then, I don't know, walking on the beach (or through a bog-riddled golf course) until four A.M. talking about the future of his life as he knows it. Seriously.

Oops, I forgot: a spirited round or two of Boggle as well.

Anyhow, it ought to be a lovely wedding in sweet Santa Barabara in August. Some of you may be there. To watch that monkey man dance.

It's all true. I've lost my edge. I'm going to swing by Bickford's on my way to the beach and havea good hard cry.

Mighhty McPilgrim has developed a small albeit quasi intellegent cult at PNPS. One engineer found the mighty McPilgrim website, viewed Broke Mac and told another etc.
My colleagues have aske is the Mighty McPilgrim logo was a characture of me. I said "What logo?'

"The guy in the pilgrim hat with the moustache!" I REPLIED I DID NOT THINK SO BUT I WILL ASK.

I suppose he does look like you, inasmuch as he's a man with a round nose and a mustache, but no he was not modeled after you as such. That being said, perhaps you just have the characteristics of a caricature pilgrim, ever think of that?

Actually, I'd like to see you with that haircut, that'd be funny.
