Every once in a while a film comes along that is so important, so moving, and so controversial that as a comedian you are legally required to mock it. Such is the case with Ang Lee's Brokeback Mountain.
We here at Mighty McPilgrim are certainly no exception. Thus we present, for your viewing pleasure, our Brokeback Mountain parody. It's less than a minute long, and safe for work. So go on, click it. You know you want to.
Oh yeah, and while I have your attention I'd like to point out that we've recently added past set lists to our Shows page with links to any sketches/videos available online. We will continue to add nifty little features like that, as well as more videos, in the next couple of months so make sure to come back here often.

Man, that makes a lot of sense. No wonder Andrew's always asking if he can come over to "help me with, um, some computer stuff".
Great job, guys. This shit cracks me up. I didn't see the hands on keyboard shot coming. Hilarious.

NICE. blogging about this now...
Posted by: jenny | January 30, 2006 10:34 AM
And I was feeling depressed before I saw this ...

Too funny! Nice work guys. And is that beard real? If so, EVEN BETTER!
Posted by: Jesse Yardley | January 31, 2006 11:42 AM
The beard is real...I'm married to it. It takes out the trash and does the dishes while Jakob sits on the futon.
This makes me laughie laughie long time. Great job!
Posted by: Nicole | January 31, 2006 11:52 AM
So, when your husband tells you that he's going out to "fix a buddy's Mac" you should start worrying?
Posted by: Andrew | January 31, 2006 2:15 PM
Ok, thanks for bringing a smile to my face! I work in IT for a living, and it really is that scary sometimes!!!! I'm referring to the hands on hands moment, not the beard!
Posted by: Mac Daddy | January 31, 2006 3:01 PM
Funny, funny. Loved it but too short. As a quicky it is quite satisfying. Good job, guys. Thanks.
Posted by: Oscar | January 31, 2006 3:10 PM
So the left person in the video is an old Apple II user? He says "open-apple + option". "Open-apple" was commonly used on Apple II's while nowadays it's called "command".
Am I correct? :)
Posted by: Dutch guy | January 31, 2006 3:12 PM
Indeed it is called 'command' these days, however I thought the term 'open-apple' would read better for folks who might have never used a Mac.
Thanks for the nice comments guys.
Posted by: Awol | January 31, 2006 3:42 PM
And the oscar for best film goes to...
Highlight of my day. Thanks guys.
Posted by: Diarmuid | January 31, 2006 4:00 PM
Would Mac users be more likely to have these kind of occurances?
Not that there is anything wrong with that...
Posted by: ZuDfunck | January 31, 2006 4:14 PM
Hilarious, I had fun with this one. I also noticed the "open-apple" instructions because I still use them myself from my Apple IIe days.
Posted by: MacSteve | January 31, 2006 5:33 PM
You are a bunch of the unfunniest morons I've ever seen. The fact that most of you *look* funny (the kiss of death if you were looking for someone who was actually funny) is worrisome. You are all talentless jackholes.
You will have a show on Comedy Central soon, I'm sure.
The saving grace is that upon your success, you will be more miserable than you are now and at least one of you will die of overdose.
Fuck you all.
Posted by: Mojo | January 31, 2006 10:51 PM
You are a bunch of the funniest morons I've ever seen. Thanks.

Oh dear, I believe MOJO has issues..........
Jealous? Would like to but can't find your way out of the closet mojo??
Too bad--lifes short mojo......
Posted by: TTT | February 1, 2006 2:08 AM
Wow. Look at Mojo, the guy with no sense of humor, or is an immature brat. Or maybe a little of both.
Posted by: LaughingMan | February 1, 2006 6:48 AM
This is the closest we are able to come to the real mccoy. Our local theater has not even scheduled BBM so its 60 miles down the road or 90 miles up the road for the closest theater with balls...
Posted by: Brock Keeler | February 1, 2006 7:41 AM
Mojo, are you calling me funny-looking? Because I represent that, man. Also, none of us could ever be any more miserable than we are now. Thanks for watching!

Posted by: Michael J. Murphy | February 1, 2006 7:05 PM
If only you had shot more scenes that showed WHY they felt so intensely for each other....
But clearly--no Evil Empire user is off considering scenic vistas and this kind of intense love!
I wish I could learn to force quit you....

Oh, the humanity.

Our sincere thanks to everyone who's commented and linked to our film during the past couple of days. If we've brought just one brief moment of laughter to your dreary, sexless indoor geek-with-miserable-office-job life, then the film has been a success.
For those PC peeps among you who've been having trouble with Quicktime, try the recently added Windows Media version. YEE-HAWWWW!!11!!!1!
Posted by: Ryan | February 2, 2006 10:55 AM
Yes, thank you to all who've viewed the video. Your response has brought one brief moment of joy to MY dreary, indoor geek-with-miserable-office-job life.
Especially Mojo. I think we may have found our new manager.
Sincerely,
The Guy with the Beard

GAY! - is suppose it would be funny if you find lame computer references mixed with mild homosexuality humorous. I think my 13 year old brother might get a chuckle for about 2 seconds...was it really worth the effort?
Posted by: zok | February 2, 2006 6:09 PM
Zok, it's not funny because of computer references mixed with GAY, it's funny because of wordplay and its parody of the Ang Lee movie. That's why I chuckle, anyway.
Send you brother over here! He sounds fun.

Another great performance, MMP!

I don't know which is worse, that it's gay or features a mac.
Posted by: Sarah | February 7, 2006 8:08 PM
I'm easy to entertain sometimes...but I thought that was dumb...nice idea maybe...but try again.
Posted by: rick | February 7, 2006 9:34 PM
how is quiting an application on a mac difficult?...command quit. same finger span as alt F4.
if you are referring to force quitting, then control alt delete isnt much better than command option escape.
...something that is more confusing is that on a pc you can open multiple copies of the same app...what the hell is that all about?
maybe pc humor escapes me.
Posted by: obviousmacuser | February 8, 2006 1:00 AM

A gay friend of mine who is jealous of my imac sent me the url to your movie and.. i just can't stop loughie and loughie! We use to make jokes with expressions that sound like "open-apple + option + take-the-dog-out" and amenities like that.. Ciao & Grazie from Italy!

acho q o filme nao terminara com o preconceito mas mostrara q isso esta muito normal hoje em dia
sei la, so disse
Posted by: Ricardo | February 18, 2006 12:28 PM
Hillarious. I like that you guys only parodied moments from the 'Brokeback' trailer so people can laugh and but hide the fact that they saw the film thus being labeled gay by their judgemental friends.
The show last night at the plymouth was awesome. Laughed my ass off.
Posted by: Bob | February 19, 2006 8:52 PM
Love to read all the great comments on this clip! By the way, the plea for money is real and not part of the show....if you really loved it maybe you could help them out! many people sending $5,$10 or $20 adds up really quick!!!

HILARIOUS- and this is coming from a native Westerener, who saw "Brokeback Mountain," and who doesn't even run Mac (but at least I don't run Window$ either;) )
Posted by: Mark | April 8, 2006 12:37 PM
When the clip ended, I sat and stared at my computer for three hours just in case you guys put in some of the bloopers at the end. Can't wait to listen to the director's commentary when the DVD comes out. Great work! Oh, what type of camera are you looking to buy when you collect enough funds?
By the way, the beard reminds me of that joke about the kid who asks his mom what she did with her "wash cloth".
Posted by: norm | April 8, 2006 11:47 PM
That was fucking hysterical! You guys rock.
Posted by: Dino | April 30, 2006 2:38 PM
This really is a pretty good parody of the movie ... captures the poignant details I recall. Only thing missing is a paper sack filled with ashes and thrown over the Mac at the end. Good job!!!!
