Jacob with a K

Does Jakob Dylan ever deal with this?

In my previously mentioned small screen debut on the Style Network's "EXPOSED" special, there was a bit of an oversight you might say. An error, a goof, a slip up. They spelled my name as Jacob White.

I call it a crime against my very well being, picking at the scab of a wound that has never gotten a chance to heal since I learned how to spell. On average, my name is spelled incorrectly about 2.4 times a day. Multiply that over a lifetime, and you'll see the padded cell I'm headed for.

Now, I could go off and rant about people who think I don't know how to spell my own name so they "correct" it, but instead, I'll just quietly state for the record, that my name is Jakob with a K. After all, that's what I've been doing all my life... without the "quietly" part.

Hey you're a comedian, you're supposed to be tortured! Now if you were a great strikeout pitcher they would never get it wrong!
eg..."Now pitching for the Boston Red Sox... Jakkkkkkkkkkkob White!" Now that guy would be Jakob with a "K"!

Truthfully, the reason behind this post was to get the name "Jacob White" out there, so in case someone was looking for me under that name, they could find me. Not that I really think that would happen, but hey, you never know. To bring it back to baseball, I was just covering my bases.

And yeah, why wasn't I pushed to become a better baseball player? Those guys make a lot of money. And if I were on the Red Sox, then I could be a professional idiot as opposed to just an idiot.

Go Sox!

I really wish my mom would stop leaving her movie collection list on my website.

I feel your pain. My entire life I've been Christine with an H, although I'm really not. After 29 years, I've sort of come to expect it and am surprised when people actually get it right and leave out the H.

It's especially annoying when people try to convince you that you don't know how to spell your own name. WTF?! Yeah, I've been misspelling it this whole time so that I can have the pleasure of everyone else correcting me and showing me the error of my ways. Thanks.

so. Jakob with a K. I would just like you to know that because of your brow beating and constant lamenting and fuming and fussing and so on. . . I now on a consistent basis spell my little brother's name wrong. He is Jacob with a C. Yes I know. You think less of him because of it. Even I now look at the c spelling and think something is missing. It looks flat. Flacid somehow. And so from my little brother jacob and in honor of less exotic spellings everywhere I would just like to say, Thank you very much sir (add sarcastic voice here) and good day to you (add sound of door slamming)
