It Takes a Village...

The first high school in America was founded in Massachusetts in 1821.

This factoid inspired my friend Mark and I to develop a series pilot. We'll be printing this out on fancy paper and sending it along to Aaron Spelling. He's sure to send us a bazillion bucks for our pitch.

PRODUCTION COMPANY : McGenius Telewondermint Inc.

TITLE: "Jebediah's Creek, " or if you're looking for something a little more delicate: "Pretty in Burlap"

You think the kids on the OC have drama?
Take away their electricity and fancy modern hygiene products from Sephora.
Now that's drama.

Welcome to Perigrine Standish High.

Meet Phinihas Pratt. He's a dashing beau with tremendous butter churning ability. He only has one weakness: an obsession with horse buggy racing. Will Phinihas live to court his betrothed Prissilla?

Meet Goodie Prissilla Allerton. She's a virtuous lassie, but her addiction to cider is causing a concern among her sewing circle and it's only a matter of time before the elders find out and she's beaten with a switch.

Meet Jebediah Finius. (This is just a character thrown in to give James Van Der Beek a part.)

Meet Goodie Hester Delanoy. Her hemline is slightly higher than her shin. She's the filthy slut.

Meet Goodie Mercye Pratt. She tried so hard to be pure, but when she's caught cheating on a test, she's burned at the stake. Thereç—´ no mercy for her. (tee hee) And everyone commiserates over warm glasses of milk straight from the utter at the local teen hotspot, "The Stable."
