More like CRAP Harbor!

This entire day has been crappy and full of people explaining to me how crappy their day has been. They've included all the crappy things that happened to them and I've expounded on all things crappy with me. At various points though, I found myself saying, "Well, at least you're not under a surprise attack from Japanese fighter pilots." Each time I said it, I got a response of, "Yeah, I guess... huh? Wait a minute, what?" I had to remind people of the significance of today's date, Dec. 7.

By the time I was born, the Pearl Harbor attack had happened over 30 years prior, but I was always told it was "a day that will live in infamy". I don't know if it's been forgotten because of 9/11 or because of that CRAPPY CRAP film that was made. I hope it's the latter(I know that movie made me want to erase a lot of stuff from my memory, starting with the movie itself) because we can't, as a nation, move from one tragedy to the next and forget. If we do that, it just might keep happening.

P.S. Sorry for the downer. Look at this if you want happy smiley time.

Nothing is ever as crappy as history forgotten. Why in my youth it was socially acceptable to dislike ethnic groups like krauts and japs.
